Legionella is a bacteria found in water from rivers, lakes and reservoirs. Pipe -stagnant water (for over a week) and salt deposits in taps and showers, combined with hot climate, create the most favorable conditions for the proliferation of Legionella and the formation of colonies in cold or hot water systems. Thus, the bacteria can appear in hotels (especially when closed for winter), ships, baths and showers, spa, sources, heated water circuits, central air conditioning units, cooling towers and practically any water system.
